PIPE RELINING SYDNEY

Expert Pipe Relining Services & Solutions Sydney

Here’s how drain relining can revolutionise your approach to plumbing issues. Have you been experiencing blocked drains, cracked or broken pipes, and all the symptoms that are associated with them? It might be time to consider pipe reline solutions for your home or business. Your sewer pipe or stormwater pipes could benefit from a permanent solution like sewer pipe relining instead of a costly pipe replacement.

Tell Me More About Pipe Relining

Drain relining technology is relatively new to the plumbing industry. Offering our clients a trenchless pipe lining solution often sounds too good to be true but it’s not. Our plumbers have repaired all manner of drain pipes from leaking pipes to broken or damaged pipes all while keeping the underground pipes, in the ground. Pipe relining creates a completely new and even stronger repair job than simply digging up the pipes in question.

Network Plumbing is the pioneer in pipe relining in Sydney. Many new companies have started adding pipe relining Sydney services to their portfolios. Unfortunately, they lack the years of experience, knowledge, and expertise that Network Plumbing brings to the table. With our extensive track record, we remain the trusted experts for pipe relining solutions near you.

HOW RELINING PIPES WORKS?

Advancements in pipe repair and replacement technology have led to the development of ‘Pipe Relining’ products. A no-dig pipe repair method. This relining process has been in use now for over 25 years and is one we would highly recommend as a solution for a dig-free yard that restores the existing pipe.

Tell Me More About Pipe Relining

Pipe Relining in Sydney, is the process of installing a one-piece liner within the existing plumbing pipes. This liner is made up of a woven sock designed to be impregnated with a 2-part epoxy resin to reline your damaged pipes.

This is then cured inside the damaged pipes or sewer line, thereby forming a new pipe inside the old sewer pipe. This new pipe alone is structurally stronger than PVC pipe and bonds to the old pipe by extruding resin into all the pipe joints, cracks, or breaks. A permanent solution is found.

As a professional Sydney relining company, we recommend sewer pipe relining because of its long-term reliability, minimal disruption, and cost-effectiveness. Pipe reline solutions are seamless and efficient, making them ideal for residential and commercial properties alike.

The 6 steps to no dig pipe relining sydney

1. Drain Cleared with High-Pressure Water Jet

We begin by blasting the drain with a high-pressure water jet. This powerful cleaner removes

obstructions like tree roots, grease, and debris while scrubbing the interior walls of the pipe. It ensures a clean and clear path for the next steps and prepares the drain for repair.

2. Full CCTV Drain Inspection

Next, we insert a CCTV drain camera to inspect the entire length of the pipe. This allows us to accurately locate any issues such as cracks, holes, or structural weaknesses in the old pipe. The footage helps us diagnose the problem and determine the best placement for repair.

3. Custom Pipe Liner Positioned

A custom-made pipe lining bladder is carefully inserted into the drain and positioned so it spans across the damaged or deteriorated section. The bladder contains an epoxy resin-saturated liner ready to form the new pipe within.

4. Liner Inflated & Bonds to Pipe Wall

Compressed air is used to inflate the bladder, which pushes the epoxy liner outward, causing it to adhere and bond tightly to the inside of the existing pipe. The liner is left in place to cure, forming a tough, seamless new pipe within the old one.

5. Bladder Removed, New Pipe Set

Once the curing process is complete, we deflate and remove the bladder, leaving behind a solid, durable pipe lining. This new pipe restores full structural integrity without any need for digging or replacing the entire drain.

6. Final CCTV Inspection & Completion

To finish, we conduct a final CCTV camera inspection to confirm the liner has set correctly and that the drain is fully functional. Once confirmed, the pipe is ready for full use — job complete, with minimal disruption and long-term peace of mind.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have more burning questions about leaking taps, a blocked toilet or your plumbing system? Here are some plumbing solutions.

How much does pipe relining cost in Sydney?

Pipe relining costs vary because no two drains, or homes – are the same. Factors such as pipe length, diameter, access, location, and the extent of damage all affect what’s involved.

Rather than giving rough phone estimates that can be misleading, our Sydney technicians inspect the drain on site using CCTV cameras, confirm whether relining is suitable, and then explain the best options clearly before any work begins.

Is sewer pipe relining worth it?

Yes – when the pipe is suitable, sewer pipe relining can be a highly effective long-term solution. It repairs damaged pipes without digging, breaking concrete, or disturbing landscaping.

For many Sydney homes, relining restores structural strength, prevents root intrusion, and avoids the disruption of full pipe replacement. The key is proper assessment – relining isn’t right for every pipe, and a professional inspection is essential.

How much does it cost to reline a sewage pipe?

The cost to reline a sewage pipe depends on pipe condition, access, and how much of the line needs repair. Some relines are short and targeted; others involve longer sections or junctions.

Our approach is to inspect first, explain the findings, and only recommend relining if it’s genuinely the right solution for your home, not just the most convenient one.

What are the disadvantages of pipe relining?

Pipe relining isn’t suitable for every situation. Severely collapsed pipes, incorrect pipe gradients, or certain access limitations may mean replacement is the better option.

That’s why proper CCTV inspection is critical. At Network Plumbing, we only recommend relining when it’s structurally sound, compliant, and in your best long-term interest.

Does insurance cover pipe relining?

Insurance may cover pipe relining if the damage was sudden and accidental, such as collapse caused by ground movement or unexpected failure. However, many policies exclude wear-and-tear or gradual deterioration.

Coverage varies significantly between insurers, so it’s important to check your policy. If required, we can provide inspection footage, reports, and documentation to support a claim.

What is the life expectancy of pipe relining?

When installed correctly, pipe relining can last several decades. Modern relining materials are designed to resist corrosion, tree roots, and structural movement.

The lifespan depends on installation quality, pipe conditions, and ongoing use – which is why experience and correct preparation are critical.

What is the most expensive part of a bathroom renovation?

Plumbing changes and hidden pipework are often among the most expensive parts of a bathroom renovation – especially if damaged or outdated drains are discovered late.

Identifying drainage issues early, including whether pipe relining is needed, can prevent costly surprises once renovation work is underway.

How do I know if I need pipe relining?

Signs you may need pipe relining include recurring blockages, persistent sewer smells, slow drains throughout the home, or repeated plumbing repairs in the same area.

The only way to know for sure is with a CCTV drain inspection. This allows us to assess pipe condition accurately and recommend the most appropriate solution.

What is the 135 rule for plumbing?

The 135-degree rule refers to plumbing standards that limit the use of sharp bends in drainage systems. Excessive or incorrect angles can restrict flow and increase the risk of blockages.

During inspections, we check pipe alignment and compliance to ensure any repair or relining solution supports proper drainage long term.

How do plumbers detect hidden leaks?

Plumbers use tools such as CCTV drain cameras, pressure testing, and acoustic detection to locate hidden leaks without unnecessary digging or damage.

This technology allows us to diagnose problems accurately and plan repairs efficiently – including whether relining is suitable.
